Copenhagen Youth Mobilize 500 Shops in Scientology-Endorsed Substance Awareness Campaign

Teen volunteers from the Danish branch of Truth About Drugs have mobilized in the Danish capital to distribute factual drug education materials across 500 shops. Their outreach, which is backed by the Church of Scientology, marks a new wave to raise awareness about drug risks among youth.

Over the course of 2025, young Scientology-affiliated activists aged 10–20 visited local retailers to encourage them to display copies of *The Truth About Drugs* booklet. The materials — produced by the global Truth About Drugs campaign — offer fact-driven information on the dangers of drug use, including cannabis, binge drinking, and synthetic substances.

Recent statistics support the urgency of their mission. A new report by the Center for Rusmiddelforskning revealed that cannabis use among 15–25-year-olds has fallen from 44 percent to 31.6 percent over the past decade. Among young men, use dropped from 51% to 34%.
